Website Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Honeymilk Studio ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit honeymilkstudio.ca (the "Website"). It applies to the Website only — each of our mobile apps has its own privacy policy, linked from its app page. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec's Law 25, and other applicable privacy legislation.
1. Information We Collect
You can browse the Website without creating an account or providing any personal information. We collect only:
- Advertising measurement data (optional): If you consent via our cookie banner, Google Ads sets cookies to measure whether visits to the Website came from our ads. If you decline, no advertising cookies are set.
- Usage analytics (PostHog): We use PostHog to understand how the Website is used (pages visited, errors encountered). Without your consent, PostHog runs in cookieless mode and stores nothing on your device; with consent, it uses cookies to recognize repeat visits.
- Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and operations.
2. Cookies and Your Choices
Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent. When you first visit, advertising cookies are off by default; the cookie banner lets you accept or decline them. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
Video previews on our app pages are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set tracking cookies unless you play the video.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google Ads (advertising measurement, with consent) — Google Privacy Policy
- YouTube (embedded video previews, privacy-enhanced mode) — Google Privacy Policy
- PostHog (usage analytics) — PostHog Privacy Policy
- Vercel (website hosting) — Vercel Privacy Policy
4. Data Retention
We do not operate our own databases of Website visitor data. Data held by the third-party services above is retained according to their published policies. Your cookie consent choice is stored in your own browser and can be cleared at any time.
5. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent at any time (via the Cookie settings link or by contacting us). To exercise these rights, contact our privacy officer at the address below.
6. Children's Privacy
The Website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
