Canadian Citizenship Test

1. Description of the App

The App is an unofficial study aid designed to help users prepare for the Canadian Citizenship Test. It provides practice questions, flashcards, and mock exams based on publicly available Government of Canada study materials, including Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship. The App operates on a freemium model: core study features are available for free (with advertisements), and an optional one-time premium purchase removes all advertisements and unlocks additional features.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 13, you may not use the App.

3. No Guarantee of Exam Results

The App is a supplementary study tool. We make no guarantee or representation that using the App will result in passing the Canadian Citizenship Test or achieving any particular score. Exam content, format, and passing criteria are determined solely by IRCC and may change at any time without our knowledge. You should always refer to the official Government of Canada resources for the most current information.

4. Intellectual Property

The original expression, compilation, selection, and arrangement of content in the App — including but not limited to answer explanations, flashcard text, user interface design, graphics, and code — is the property of Honeymilk Studio and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.

The App's study questions are based on factual information from publicly available Government of Canada materials. Because the source material is limited in scope, individual questions may naturally resemble those found in other study resources covering the same topics. Honeymilk Studio does not claim exclusive ownership over commonly expressed factual questions, but does claim ownership over the App's original expression, selection, organization, and presentation of its content as a whole.

Content derived from Government of Canada publications is used in accordance with the Government of Canada Terms and Conditions for the reproduction of federal government materials. Crown copyright remains with the Government of Canada where applicable.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the App or its content without our prior written consent.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App;
• Attempt to extract the App's question database or content for commercial use;
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws;
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security or access-control features of the App, including advertisement delivery mechanisms and purchase or paywall mechanisms;
• Attempt to access premium features without a valid purchase, or share, transfer, or resell your premium access to others.

6. Advertisements

The free tier of the App displays advertisements provided by third-party ad networks, including Google AdMob. These advertisements help us maintain and improve the App. By using the free tier of the App, you acknowledge that:

• Ads may appear as banners, interstitials, or rewarded videos within the App;
• Certain features or content may require watching a rewarded video advertisement to access;
• The content of advertisements is controlled by the respective ad network, not by us;
• We are not responsible for the products, services, or content advertised by third parties;
• Ad delivery may involve the collection of certain data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Users who purchase the lifetime premium upgrade will not see any advertisements, and no ad-related data will be collected for those users.

7. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional one-time premium purchase ("Lifetime Premium") that removes all advertisements and unlocks additional features, including Smart Review and access to all mock exams.

• Payment processing: All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Honeymilk Studio does not directly handle, process, or store any payment card or billing information. Your purchase is subject to the terms and conditions of the respective app store.
• Pricing: The current price is displayed on the purchase screen within the App. Prices may vary by region and currency, as determined by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Lifetime access: "Lifetime" means for the operational lifetime of the App — that is, for as long as we continue to make the App available on the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store. It does not guarantee perpetual availability. If we discontinue the App, we will provide reasonable notice where possible.
• Restore purchases: If you switch devices or reinstall the App, you can restore your premium purchase using the "Restore Purchases" option in the App's Settings. Restoration is tied to your Apple ID or Google account.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled exclusively by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their respective refund policies. Honeymilk Studio does not process refunds directly. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support.
• No automatic renewals: The Lifetime Premium purchase is a one-time, non-recurring transaction. You will not be charged again after your initial purchase.

8. Local Data Storage

Your study progress, session history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to our servers. You are responsible for your own data — if you uninstall the App or clear its data, your study progress will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered by us. Note that your premium purchase status is managed separately by RevenueCat and can be restored across devices using your Apple ID or Google account (see Section 7).

9. Availability and Updates

We may update, modify, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that it will be free of errors. We are not liable for any interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content in the App is accurate, complete, or current, or that it reflects the most recent Government of Canada study materials.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Honeymilk Studio and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the App;
• Any inaccuracy or error in the App's content;
• Any failure to pass the Canadian Citizenship Test;
• Any unauthorized access to or use of data stored on your device;
• Any third-party content, including advertisements displayed in the App;
• Any issues with in-app purchase processing, billing, or refunds handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store;
• Any temporary or permanent loss of access to premium features due to device changes, account issues, or service interruptions beyond our control.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Honeymilk Studio from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

13. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services, including Google AdMob (advertising), PostHog (analytics), RevenueCat (purchase management), and Google Fonts (typography). Additionally, all in-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of any third party, including their handling of payments, refunds, or personal data.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of British Columbia.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Honeymilk Studio regarding your use of the App.
